Robert Vance Broyhill (1864-1925) son of  John E. Broyhill
Elizabeth Hensley (18      ), wife of Robert Vance Broyhill.  

  His daughter Clara wrote that he was born around 1864 or 1865 in Wilkes County, NC and married Elizabeth Hensley.  He was a finishing carpenter by trade and died in 1925.
   Robert V. Broyhill appears on the 1910 census living in Buncombe County, NC.  The original census page is almost illegible.  The transcription (which may be highly inaccurate) lists Robert V. Broyhill, age 65 (he was 45); Lizzie, age 34, Flamm age 15, Sadie age 13, Clara, age 11, Clide, age 8, and Ingar, age 6

About the Kids

     In 1970, Clara wrote that all the children were born in Yancy County, NC.  All the following information furnished by her at that time.
Zeddie - Married Isaac Green in Greenville, SC about 1914, then moved to Sevierville, Tenn.  They had two children, Ethel Green and Virgie Green.  She died about 1918.
Clawson - Reportedly a WWI vet.  6 children, all born in Sevierville, Tenn.
Sadie - Never married.  Deceased.
Clara - Clara married Edward Aiken in Greenville, SC in 1919. He died in 1951.  In 1970, she was living at 135 W. Cedar St.; Sevierville, Tenn.  She never told me if she had children or not.  A letter to her in 1975 was returned "addressee unknown."
Clyde - Worked in a printing office, never married, and deceased.
Inous - Never married and deceased.
